Workshops

Each year, the Emmaus of Santa Barbara Leadership Program offers scholarships to about 50 college students invited to participate in its leadership training and character formation program. The program, in its fourth year, seeks students with a strong commitment to personal growth and character development who wish to assume leadership positions within Emmaus of Santa Barbara. Over the course of the academic year, student leaders are required to complete Emmaus of Santa Barbara Leadership Curriculum, participate in program activities, and act as campus leaders. The program seeks to prepare future leaders who are psychologically and emotionally grounded, altruistic, service-oriented, and deeply committed to the Core Philosophy of Emmaus of Santa Barbara. By attending the following workshops, graduates of this program will learn how to serve as group facilitators, conduct small group workshops, listen attentively to others and provide an atmosphere of safety and trust to program participants.
